Reach One Child  is the brainchild of Jamaican actress/singer and philanthropist Cherine Anderson . Reach One Child was formed to organize a benefit concert at Middlebury College to help victims of Hurricane Ivan in Jamaica. Both professors, students and professionals from the college and adjoining communities came together to support the cause in Mead Chapel. Originally Cherine’s intention was to help refurbish the music department of her alma mater Excelsior Primary but support was also given to the St. Ann’s Infirmary. The movement was expanded to help Jamaican youths all over the island with the help of her manager/business partner Patrick Lindsay, which gave birth to The R.O.C. Foundation .
